Part-Time Educational Assistant
North Glenora Playschool is seeking a Part-time Educational Assistant to work under the direction of the lead teacher. You will be required to meet the individual needs of our students, guiding them in their behaviour, exploration, and learning experiences in our learning through play environment. You will help nurture a warm and caring classroom, help prepare material for lessons, and will develop professional relationships with parents and caregivers. Ongoing professional development is expected. You will be an employee of the North Glenora Community League under the direction of the North Glenora Playschool executive and lead teacher. The hours for this position are 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays beginning January 26, 2016 until June 14, 2016 except for non-operational days such as Spring Break and other holidays.
The successful candidate will have or be working towards a Child Development Assistant Certificate (formerly Level 1), experience working with children between two and five years of age, and a vulnerable sector record check. First aid is an asset but not required. You must be at least 18 years of age.
Remuneration will be based on your qualifications and range between $12-$14 per hour.
